GROUND PENETRATING RADAR
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is an entirely safe, non-invasive, and non-destructive concrete structure inspection solution.
Ground penetrating radar (GPR) generates data by transmitting pulses of energy into the structure. The energy bounces off targets and detects the presence of embedded material in poured surfaces.
Ground Penetrating Radar Application
- Locates objects embedded in concrete (tension cables, rebar, conduits, PVC pipes, voids)
- Finds metallic and non-metallic objects
- Measures thickness of concrete
- Real-time analysis
- 3-D imaging option allows traditional top-down views as well as “sliced” end-on views of the imaged concrete
Benefits of Ground Penetrating Radar
- Limits costly damage
- Saves time and money
- Completely safe
- Non-invasive and non-destructive
- Jobsite does not need to be clear
- Large number of square footages inspected in a day
- Helps to find safe locations for drilling, coring, and sawing
- Data Analysis
- Requires only one-sided access to the structure
